Sometimes the best way to grow is sideways.

Compositions can appear from any direction in the East Side of Zion. As I walked through the washes I noticed a deep orange glow from the steep canyon walls and followed it to a solitary tree growing horizontally straight right above my head. It was a beautiful Autumn day and the intermittent clouds only seemed to draw attention to the creative growth of this pine.  Sometimes all it takes is a shift in perspective to turn what is ordinary into something special.
